Bill and Donna met up with us in Tok so we could convoy through Canada together. We left Tok yesterday and after driving close to 400 miles we stopped at a RV park to crash for the night.
Did I mention that it's going to take about 6 days to get through Canada? Six days, with hardly any internet, unless I'm lucky enough to find wifi somewhere, six days with very minimum phone service, although I can honestly say that I have NO phone service today! Six days! This is what I call roughen it! I'm seriously having withdrawals!
This is terrible, what if somebody needs to get ahold of me, or I miss some very important information on Facebook! What if my email gets full from the hundreds of junk mail that gets sent my way! So much could happen! I hope I survive this!
After spending a mentally stressful day due to the lack of internet, a soak in the Liard Hotsprings was exactly what I needed! I'm sure John needed it too considering he drove over 400 miles today, along with Bill and Donna.
The Liard River Hot Springs is in British Columbia, Canada. It's the second largest in Canada. Its wilderness location is located in a lush boreal setting, adding to its ruggedness, charm and romance. It is a must-see year-round stop on the Alaska Highway, a place to rest weary bones and tired eyes. It's what we all needed! It felt wonderful!
After soaking for a little while we went back to the camper and ate some venison chili (venison compliments of Bill and Donna's last years 8 point buck), which is not a good choice at 7:30 pm, I might add! It should be an interesting night.
