The exhibits at the fair were fun too, especially the vegetables. Alaska is home to some freakishly huge vegetables, and farmers have tended to them for months in hopes of winning big at the Alaska State Fair. There was a 965 pound pumpkin! A 18.46 pound zucchini! Not to mention the 10.36 pound turnip! These veggies are amazing.
The animals were pretty cute too, especially Obsidian, the 2000 pound bull!
We also enjoyed some of the entertainment in which my husband helped with. I didn't know he could play the pans! He was amazing! After seeing how well the crowd liked it, he's thinking about starting a one man band called Pan Halen.
We had a really good day. But, after eating all that fair food, I have a feeling that we're not going to feel so good tomorrow....
