After going down to the Senior Center we went fishing at Dolly Varden Lake, (not Dolly Parton). We didn't catch anything there so we went down the road to Rainbow Lake where we caught 10 rainbow trout! We had to stop because we each caught our limit, 5 each. I was in the water with my waterproof boots, which weren't waterproof past the top of them, with trout swimming all around me. The water was so clear that you could see them everywhere. John was very happy to clean the 10 fish while I held the pistol to make sure a bear wouldn't want to take our dinner. We are very protective over our food! I am so glad at the speed in which he cleaned the fish. It's pretty nerve wrecking watching for bears!
The coolest thing we saw today was an eagle that dove into the water, wrestled with a fish, dragged it to the bank and then flew away with it. It was an amazing thing to see! I'm sad to say that my camera was in the truck!
Needless to say we had trout for dinner!
