Today was a great day! My honey took me out to breakfast, bought me some really cute yellow waterproof boots and took me to see a movie, The Avengers. We also went to the commissary to stock up on groceries for a couple of weeks and we washed the camper! A busy day. We didn't do any trails today but that was fine with me considering the one yesterday about killed me. We rode about 25 miles on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. The scenery was beautiful but the hills were torture! I had to push my bike up a couple of them! I am shocked that I can walk today. The highlight was seeing a moose beside the trail.
Well tomorrow we're finally heading to Sterling to set up camp for a couple of months. It's very bittersweet. We're happy to be here but the trip was exciting and fun. A road trip that was out of this world! We got to see some amazing things and we met some really nice people. We drove over 5000 miles! Now it's time to come to a halt! Wow! I hope we adapt! I know there's more adventures where we're going though. The campground we're hosting at is known for excellent salmon and trout fishing because we'll be on the world famous Kenai River. There's also bears that likes to roam around camp! (I know I'll be locking the doors.)
